is mounted under the tabletop. Thus the tablecloth is transformed into a storage
area for newspapers etc.

The image of tablecloth, with it’s typical, soft falling ‘ears‘,
persists. But it obtains a new function and releases the tabletop for use and
view.

This table thrives on pairs of opposites: old and new, hard and soft, conventional
and modern. Grandmother’s tablecloth is caricatured and honoured.

These boxes are folded from one piece of cardboard. The closure opens or closes

Made out of sun protection foil, the glasses are printed and pre-perforated
onto an A4 sheet.

two open sides. The containers meet inside the cube similar to stalactites
and stalagmites in a cave.
